Maddie’s Fund knows there’s nothing more valuable than the love of a pet. In fact, it’s priceless! That’s why they’ll be paying the adoption fees for 10,000 cats or dogs (or more!) this weekend in over 500 cities and towns across the U.S.
Yes, from cuddly kittens and puppies to gentle, loving seniors and every kind of cat or dog in between, not only are your adoption fees waived at Maddie’s Pet Adoption Days, but Maddie’s Fund will be awarding amounts ranging from $500 to $2,000 per adoption to the shelter or rescue group caring for the pet. The lower amount is for a young, healthy pet, the higher for older pets with health challenges, and the mid-point covers pets who are either seniors or have health issues.
This is the fifth year Maddie’s Fund has held the event, and it just keeps getting bigger! They are aiming to do at least 10,000 adoptions this weekend, and expect to spend $10 million in the process.
